Georgia National Cemetery Observances of Memorial Day 2024 will take place Saturday May 25,2024. At 9:00 volunteers are invited to place small American flags on the Gravesites. A Ceremony will commence following the placement of Flags at the assembly area. 

 

Due to traffic concerns, those attending are highly encouraged to carpool if at all possible.  Off cemetery parking has been arranged at the Sutallee Baptist Church, 895 Knox Bridge Hwy (Rt 20), White, GA 30184.  This is about five miles west of the cemetery.  Shuttle service will be provided starting at 7:00 am from the church.  The shuttle service will run until 12:00 pm.

With permission from the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Georgia National Cemetery Advisory Council (GNCAC) coordinates and funds Memorial Day observances at the cemetery. GNCAC plans a dignified morning of activities to include a ceremony with appropriate guest speakers, educational activities to engage families, and headstone flag placement. The event is free and open to the public.
